— How the Program Works

Our Approach

We provide early trauma-informed care through personalized programs, immersive retreats and ongoing support, ensuring veterans are never left to navigate their healing alone.

Therapeutic Retreats

Safe, restorative spaces where participants decompress, process traumatic experiences, and restore emotional balance through guided support and connection.

Rapid Response Programs and Workshops

Developed for units unable to leave the field for an extended retreat, including same day interventions  or custom designed weekly team sessions

Long-term After Care and Continuity

We remain engaged beyond program completion. Support includes subsidized one-on-one therapy sessions as needed, and ongoing group therapy to reinforce team cohesion and recovery.

MORE THAN A RETREAT

Rising Heroes is not simply a retreat provider.

We offer a continuum of care that includes:

Group programS

Ongoing Alumni community

Family and spouse initiatives

Customized recovery retreats

Daily resilience workshops

Individual therapy support

For many participants, Rising Heroes becomes an address for life — a trusted place to return whenever support is needed.

Testimonials

"I’m leaving with a renewed sense of resilience — a deeper motivation not just to continue my military service, but to live. I now see that there is so much more out there to aspire to, so many peaks to climb. Life doesn’t begin or end in Gaza. This retreat opened my eyes to a bigger world — and to the possibility of joy and growth beyond survival."

"It gave me a new perspective. The feedback I received from others helped me accept myself more — something I didn’t know I needed so badly."

"I honestly don’t even know how to describe what I went through. I only know that I entered the process as one person and left it as another. We all came in as individuals, but we left as a team. The experience is unforgettable and will forever remain one of the most meaningful I’ve had."

"I'm walking away with a level of self-confidence I didn’t have before. I know I still have a long road ahead before I feel whole, but now I finally feel like I’m on the tracks. This retreat helped me reset and realign — all that’s left now is to keep going forward with strength."

"I gained self-worth. I now feel that I’m not alone — that there are people standing behind me. Whether it’s the therapists or even complete strangers from across the world, people who technically 'shouldn’t' care — and yet, they do. I realized that the world is capable of holding me, supporting me, and embracing me in ways I never thought possible."

"I leave with the tools I need to make real changes at home and in my own internal work. I now understand the importance of team and mutual support — something I hadn’t fully grasped before. This process wasn’t just emotional — it was practical, actionable, and deeply transformative."
